Vision
Our vision and purpose was very clear:
- We wanted you to have very good teachers in every class.
- We wanted you to be able to study in your own home with live classes.
- We wanted classes oriented to clinical practice, with professors who did not give notes, but who transmitted their clinical experience in each class.
- We wanted to provide the student with text material based on hundreds of scientific studies that would provide a comprehensive scientific update of the program.
- We wanted the training to be oriented from the first class to applied clinical reasoning, and to provide real professional competence.
Academic Areas
Our main focus is on clinical nutrition applied to the management of chronic pathologies, with programs focused on:
- Clinical nutrition and metabolism.
- Digestive pathologies.
- Obesity and body composition.
- Neurosciences.
- Eating behavior disorders.
- Hormonal health in women.
- Physical activity sciences.
- Public health, epistemology and research fundamentals.
- Etc.
Academic Prestige and Community
Our academic community is around 2.000 students per year, with a growing international presence. Currently, 50% of our student body is international, which consolidates ICNS as a global reference in healthcare training.
Innovation and Technological Leadership
ICNS has been a pioneer in live online training since 2015, combining the flexibility of the digital environment with the teaching quality of face-to-face teaching.
We develop our own technological platforms, including:
- Own virtual classroom.
- ICNS Nutrition Software, probably among the best nutrition software in the world, used by clinics, hospitals and universities.
- Student Care and Support.
We offer a student support service 7 days a week, including telephone technical support during the classes and live technical support during the classes if you have any connection problems.
Values
We believe that patients have the right to a comprehensive and evidence-informed approach that allows them to make informed decisions, and not simply be pharmacologized. Isn't that what we would want for ourselves? This is not yet happening in healthcare, but together with our students, we are making it happen. And we won't stop until it does.
That 2015 project was forged from our observation and clinical experience that showed us that many of our patients who did not progress with drugs, began to do so with nutrition. This is evident once the metabolic causes that produce the pathologies are understood, instead of covering up symptoms or modifying markers as is usually done with drugs. Our own clinical experience left us in no doubt, and we had evidence to back it up. Going against the official dogmas, even with the scientific literature in hand, was not exactly a simple path. Again, time proved us right. We were a group of rebels, but we were evidence-based rebels. We were not about to give up.
We continue to prepare programs for the future, with the purpose of providing the best comprehensive, clinical and scientific training. We would love for you to be part of this necessary transformation project.
